The purpose of our research is to better understand factors that influence the emotional and moral development of children of children and adolescents. In particular, we are interested in aspects of close relationships (particularly parents) and how these influence the development of children's emotional and moral competence. On the pages that are linked to this one, you will find descriptions of research conducted in this lab concerning parent-child relationships, early emotional understanding, conscience development, and children’s developing understanding of themselves and others. You will also find descriptions of the projects that myself and my students are currently working in on my lab. In addition, parents can find information about the current studies we are conducting and contact us if you would like to be involved. Furthermore, students who would also like to be involved can find out more about the type of help we need in the lab.
